“This place is truly special. The enjoyment begins the minute you walk in and meet the lovely staff. The room itself was perfect-spotlessly clean and totally comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was a truly incredible meal. To top off the delicious food, the chef himself came out to introduce himself afterwards so we were able to learn about where all those ingredients came from (all local and totally fresh). “We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended.”

“Location is excellent and staff very welcoming and helpful, stayed on the third floor room was clean although very dated and very warm, fan provided but not really effective. Windows only part open which doesn’t help when so warm outside. The shower is useless very low water pressure same with the taps and toilet flush. Breakfast was good however selection of continental was limited, also my wife’s favourite poached eggs sadly wasn’t an option.”
