“This place is truly special. The enjoyment begins the minute you walk in and meet the lovely staff. The room itself was perfect-spotlessly clean and totally comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was a truly incredible meal. To top off the delicious food, the chef himself came out to introduce himself afterwards so we were able to learn about where all those ingredients came from (all local and totally fresh). We ended our lovely evening in the bar area which had a great atmosphere and……
“We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended.”
“Really nice and friendly hotel with fantastic food.
Bedroom was roomy for a single room, grout and sealant in the bathroom could do with a deep clean, but apart from that it was very clean and comfortable.”
“Rooms 1 and 7 were clean and comfy.
No. 1 was stuffy (possibly due to hot weather and no air con) and smelt of cooking . No. 7 was cooler but affected by traffic noise as there was a fair amount of traffic throughout the night. Not ideal for light sleepers. Can’t comment on the meals as we didn’t eat there. Easy access to Pendine Sands.”
“Good position, plenty of parking spaces, decent breakfast. Housekeeping staff seem to sometimes like to skip over making rooms, but it is not too serious.”
“An absolutely beautiful hotel from the moment you enter the grounds. Wonderfully renovated property with gorgeous understated style everywhere. Our bedroom was luxurious and comfortable with complimentary minibar and home made snacks. Very welcoming. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast and dining were of a good standard in great surroundings. Couldn’t fault the hotel. Will return.”
