“The Kings Arm was in such a good location in Woodstock within walking distance of all the shops and beautiful Blenheim Palace. It is nice to stay in such a historic pub and hotel, but as with many aged facilities there are some trade offs. The bed was very comfortable, but the room could get incredibly hot. The room is also quite tight for 2 travelers. The small shower needed servicing as the metal soap, shampoo holder was totally hanging off one side and also had poor drainage, once leaking……

“I cannot recall leaving a review before however, our experience was one I do not wish to repeat.
We booked a suite. It really was not worth the money. Tired, shabby & with air conditioning that sounded like a struggling car engine.
The bed however was very comfortable but overpriced.
The receptionists on both days were lovely & very welcoming.
Breakfast was terrible, by 9.20am pastries had ran out, no water & they got our order wrong. When it was finally served the toast wasn’t toasted, it……

“A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !”
