“Elevator from parking garage was out of order. Had to carry my suitcase up 8 flights of stairs to access the hotel lobby. Asked staff at checkin to comp the 5GBP parking charge but they said the car park was owned by the town and they couldn’t do anything about it. This is unacceptable. The staff should have provided vehicular access to the lobby for unloading which would have been possible under the circumstances.”

“The room was a reasonable size but not big. However the facilties were excellent. There was a smeg fridge and kettle. The walk in shower was excellent. Easy to get the right temperature and pressure. The whole bathroom suite looked like it was relatively new. No mold no water damage anywhere even the grouting was clean. “The hotel itself needs a little bit of updating in terms of decor, but the room we stayed in was fine for us and was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was OK (the water pressure was a bit low) and it was nice having a full sized fridge in the room. The staff were always friendly and it was an ideal base for visiting family in Halifax”
