We arrived late and were hungry. We went to the in hotel restaurant. We asked if there was another restaurant nearby that was open. The waitress lied. We order our food but it was terrible.

VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY PRO's:- Outside hotel lovely Staff very friendly and helpful, however were limited to what they could provide/offer - need more of them to cater for guests' needs better CONs:- Inside of hotel very tired, requires redecoration and maintenance Had booked a Deluxe King room - on website it states "spacious elegance, modern amenities and a sanctuary of comfort" - however faulty door locks, stained carpets, bathroom fittings broken, low stock of supplies in room so ran out, location of TV on wall dangerous (hit head several times when passing bottom of bed as room was small and difficult to move around in. Pool photographs on website looks clean and well maintained - it isn't, so avoided using it. Signage of a beauty service - enquired to book but told hadn't been available for some time. Breakfast was dreadful! Had to ask staff on several occasions to replenish items as there was very little or no stock, poor/no choices (couldn't even provide decaf coffee), when the cooked items eventually appeared they were over cooked and rock solid! SUMMARY:- Nice staff On Thainstone House Hotel's website (via Crerar) it states: "having carefully considered everything for a relaxed and comfortable stay"..... - I beg to differ! Our stay was absolutely awful. We booked a "Deluxe King Room with Full Breakfast" the price we paid certainly didn't reflect or justify this. Thainstone House Hotel is classed as 4 star, I would suggest this be regraded to 2 star.
