Front of house Vijay could not have been more helpful. We asked to upgrade room and was moved immediately. Room 17 was spacious with views over the garden. The lounge’s atmospheric- antiques and cabinets full of whiskey bottles. Set price dinner £34 for two courses was excellent. Good delicious and well worth a visit. Same for cooked breakfast. Top notch

Beste Unterkunft/Hotel in ganz Schottland!!! Sehr sauber. Tolle Atmosphäre in Zimmer, Lounge, Treppenhaus und Frühstücksraum. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Große Zimmer. Sehr durchdacht (z.B. Badteppich statt nur Handtuch, Hunde-Toilettenpapier kam gut bei unserer Tochter an). Trotz alter Holzböden kaum Knarxen. Sehr bequemes Bett. Keine zu heißen Bettdecken und dennoch warm. Frühstück mit großer Auswahl. Auch hier alles durchdacht und sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Und das Allerschönste war der herzliche Empfang der Gastgeberin (sie ist Deutsche). Hierher kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

The check-in and check-out processes are excellent; hassle free! The room is spacious and clean. Location of the hotel is super convenient.

We booked this property in April 2026 thinking it was one house made up of one dwelling. We booked one night and after some deliberation we booked a second consecutive night separately believing it would be the same property. Upon arrival at the property we soon realized the house was divided into two separate residences, an east wing and a west wing. At no point did Black Sheep Hotels tell us that the property was made up of two residences and that we had in fact booked one night in each residence. During the morning following our first night we received very direct and bad communications from Black Sheep telling us in no uncertain terms that our behavior was unacceptable because we had not packed up our belongings and vacate the premise. At the time of receiving these communications we were on a train and unable to get to the house. Our belongings were packed up and moved to the residence in the other side of the house. We returned to the house later that day, packed up the car and left, as we were so upset with the way we had been treated It is unusual for us to leave any comments like this on expedia, but we feel strongly about the poor treatment we received from Black Sheep and our goal is to prevent this from happening to any other family in the future. Black Sheep Hotels need to do a better job of making clear that this property is two separate residences and let future visitors know if the have in fact booked both residences consecutively, whether by accident or not

Struttura molto accogliente e ben rifinita, dallo stile classico scozzese. Camera (suite) spaziosa, pulita e con splendida vista; molto apprezzato l’arredamento e la frutta fresca. Migliorerei le manopole della vasca a idromassaggio, era difficile regolarle. Mangiato al ristorante, un po’ caro ma era tutto buono; menù con ampia scelta. Ottima colazione con ampia scelta
