Surround yourself with the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Quebrada del Rio de las Conchas nature reserve located north of Cafayate on the highway that leads to the nearby city of SaltaOpens in a new window. Join a tour winding through this marvelous gorge to see the astounding rock formations glowing with rich hues of pink, red and ocher. The incredible Los Castillos (The Castles) and El Obelisco (The Obelisk) are unique sandstone formations shaped by thousands of years of wind and water.

Walk around the Ruinas del Divisaderoto explore the remnants of an ancient Diaguita-Calchaquí settlement. Take a tour or drive to the site located 4 miles (7 kilometers) southeast of Cafayate.
