“I was only here for 1 night but it was a lovely experience. The staff is very nice and answered all my curious questions, the VIEW is one of the best you’ll find in the Catskills. The air purifier and sound machine in the room was a very nice touch! Things I have at home so nice to have at a spot away! ”

“Black Bear lodge is a great getaway and excellent base to explore the area as it’s so central. We had excellent communication ahead of our check in, a real warm welcome and helpful with dining tips. The room was spacious and comfortable. The lodge is just off the main road but if we heard a car we didn’t notice, it’s so quiet around there. “Very nice place to stay. Staff very friendly and welcoming . Lovely breakfast baskets available (additional charge). Only improvement would be cleaning of room . We got a message while out asking if we would like the room cleaned that day with a circa 3 hour window that cleaners were available . We asked for it to be and unfortunately it wasn’t when we returned. Put it down to message system delays but think better system needed than this. Definately worth visiting though . ”

“We only stayed one night at the Starlite Motel. This motel is not like other places we have stayed. It was quiet and it had character. We really liked that our room included a small kitchen. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The backyard area was great for us to relax with friends and play games. I would love to come back and stay longer to enjoy the area and I would definitely take advantage of the grills and fire pit. If you’re looking for “modern” this may not be for you, but……
