"Stayed in this apartment hotel for 2 nights in Apr23. We spoilt the hair dryer before we checked out, but could not inform the office as we checked out very early in the morning and the office was closed. The next day, I received an email informing us that they charged CHF500 to my credit card for spoiling the hair dryer and the TV. This is ridiculous. Their email mentioned that they gave us a perfectly working TV before we checked in. How can they accuse us for spoiling the TV a few minutes...

"This place is really nice - we had a great four nights here, and were very lucky with the weather as it rained lots just before we arrived (it is "mountain weather" so you get what you get). We arrived "out of hours" but this had been prearranged so there is a safe with pin codes which was easy enough to use and we got our key and instructions very quickly. Parking is in an underground garage which you get into nearby reception using the key provided. Note that the door closes by itself once...

I will say the view was beautiful, however finding the location and finding the management office to obtain the keys Was very difficult Additionally, the sofa bed was in such bad shape. "We have been visiting Menaggio on a pretty regular basis since 1992 and have never had a bad experience. The Mira Al Lago was no exception. The place is marvelous. It is quiet, pleasant, clean, and offers a wonderful and relaxing view of Lago di Como from the house or from the perfectly placed patio. It was the perfect place for us to relax at the end of a long adventure of visiting friends and family in Spain and Italy. Grazie mille a tutti quelli di Lake Como Holiday per il vostro aiuto."

Only complaints, as they may be important to some renters. 4th floor walkup is 80 stairs to unit. Could be too much for some. Would've thought there would be instant coffee. Some would want tea. It's not there. Otherwise a great stay. All in all, these are minor issues unless they are deal breakers for you. They weren't for us"

You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. There's a small supermarket that we didn't actually have to use, as we shopped out and about in the bigger towns. There is somewhere to get a coffee in the morning if you...
