“Loved this cabin!!”

“We had a lovely 3-night stay. The cottage was cozy and clean. The bed was very comfortable - soft, but not too soft. Pillows were great. Enjoyed a bonfire and smores at night; coffee and turtle watching from the boathouse dock at sunrise. We had a perfect view of the eclipse from the dock. Luckily, the rain clouds held off until after totality. Internet connection was strong and supported multiple devices. We were also able to smoothly stream movies in the evening, even with a thunderstorm...

“Neat little place to stay right in the First Monday area. Room was clean and enough beds to sleep 5 people.”

“It was a quick getaway for me and my daughter. We had a fishing tournament. The host were great on helping me get inside with the door code. I was having slight problem. It was at 10:00. Appreciate them answering at that time. Place was clean and beds were soft. Bathrooms were modern and clean. It is close to Lake Fork, but on a smaller lake. This is nice as well. Will come back.”

“My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Kimbra’s house! We brought our two dogs and they loved the wide open spaces. The house was just as described with some special touches from the host that were on theme with the eclipse weekend! Kimbra was so communicative and helpful- we felt well cared for! We really appreciate her opening her home to us!”

“We traveled to Texas for the eclipse and were very happy to find the Rustic Retreat cabin right in the path of totality. The hosts were very responsive by text prior to our stay and reached out while we were there to make sure everything was going well. The cabin is very comfortable, clean, and cute and equipped with everything you could need for a stay. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the back porch in the morning and hearing the birds chirp. In the dark we drove by the entrance at first...

“We enjoyed the home, ability to relax and just a clean comfortable place to visit. It was close enough to Mineola to make several day trips to the train museum, sample some of the sights and visit Cleta’s treat shop. Pleasant and friendly owner that made our stay very welcoming.”

“This was my second stay at Beaver Run and it was just as amazing as the first. The air just hits differently here. Morning coffee on the porch in a rocker watching the sunrise and seeing the forest awaken is my favorite part. It was cool enough this time to enjoy the hot tub in the evening (I’m not a big hot tub person but it was clean and wonderful!). I plan on coming again (and again and again and again!) to recharge my soul. Thank you for sharing your home!”

“The cottage was perfect size for a couple or group of 3-4. Cozy and comfortable, great communication with the owner, but the best part is the location, the people in The Mountain community made everything pleasant. Walk to dining, entertainment and shopping.”

“We stayed here for the eclipse and really enjoyed the stay. The host is fantastic with excellent communication as we brought our dog and she also has dogs but it was easy to arrange different times to have the dogs out. Her dogs are super friendly, I think my wife wanted to take them home with her. She also has horses which are always a pleasure to see. The cabin is small but really nice. It’s decorated well with lots of amenities. It very comfortable and the Wi-Fi works great for the kids....

“If you are going to Canton first Mondays then it is the perfect place to stay as it is within walking distance, but there are also transportation services if needed. We just didn't use any because we were in the middle of it all. Everything about it was easy, the host stayed in contact and answered my questions quickly. I was with friends who are most interested in what is in the title as our focus is spending on shopping! I would highly recommend it for those who are looking for the same as us...

“Unfortunately we were in town for a Memorial Service; but we were able to spend quality time together in this home. It's a beautiful, rustic cabin with all the amenities. Barbara, the owner, was very helpful. Lot's of wildlife and farm animals in the area adding to the relaxing ambiance. And having a taco truck in walking distance was "icing on the cake "”

“We absolutely loved our stay at Junior's place. Thankful for how close it was to the lake. This place was very clean and organized. We will be coming back. Fishing in the pond was a fun bonus on the property. There's a great fire pit that my teenager wanted to use but we ran out of time. Thanks for the great place to relax.”

“This home is well equipped with just about everything you might need, even a bluetooth speaker which I think is a nice touch. Our host was easy to reach and seemed like regular people. I would bring a boat next time, not that it was necessary, there is lots of property there for outdoor activities. Oh, a cornhole set was also provided, another nice touch.”
