"Overall we have a great stay at Golden Sun Hotel. The location was perfect, especially if its your first time in Hanoi and you want to explore the Old Quarter. The staff were very good, in particular Jimmi at reception who was super friendly and helpful with booking tours, transportation and giving city recommendations. "

"We absolutely loved out stay at the Splendid Premium. The staff was exceptionally caring, friendly helpful - everybody at the Splendid went above and beyond. I cannot stress that enough, they made us feel very welcome. Really everybody - across front desk, bell desk, breakfast, rooftop bar, spa, and so on. The location is excellent - it's right in the Old Quarter (which we later learned is the most expensive real estate in all of Vietnam - yet the hotel price was reasonable); lots of activities in walking distance, or a short ride from there. Breakfast selection was great, with some daily variations. We went to the Spa a few times, they knew what they're doing. Slight knock down (4 vs 5 stars) on 'condition and facilities'... it was fine, however if you expect a western hotel standard you may be a bit disappointed (room was rather dark with lack of view, and pool was cold); however, as noted before, this place is in Hanoi's Old Quarter, so that needs to be taken into context. Allover excellent stay, and we would go there again. "

"I stayed here for two nights and I loved it. The room was very clean, comfortable, and I slept really well, which I appreciated so much. The staff were super friendly and kind, and the balcony and rooftop were beautiful. I enjoyed spending time there. At the end of my stay they even gave me a hotel bag as a gift. It was such a sweet gesture, especially because I actually needed one haha Overall my experience was amazing. I felt great there and I would stay again for sure if I return to Hanoi. I really recommend it! "

"The staff were amazing, very friendly and made us feel at home. They gave us local suggestions and it was easy to communicate with them while we were out exploring, via whatsapp. They offered us a free upgrade to a room with a city view which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast has lots of options; fruit, juices, meat, eggs, pho, dumplings, spring rolls etc. everything from check in to check out and laundry service were seamless."
