Weekend visit
We were coming from NC and were meeting family here to stay with to attend my aunt Funeral . Cabin is very cozy , very clean and well kept . We really did not stay in the cabin long . I wish we could have been able to stay there for a more getaway trip . It would be a perfect cabin to stay . The fire pit was nice. We brought some wood to use one night we were there . Cabin is very well insulated so it stayed nice and warm inside .

The property and the views were amazing. The cabin was charming. The downfall was the moisture and mold issues. It was a lot of dust on the curtains, ceiling fans, shelves, plants, etc. You could see the mold on the paneling, walls and floors. The dehumidifier and air conditioning units had a lot of mold and dust as well no There were water stains and dried up worms in the downstairs /basement carpet. If this place were thoroughly remediated and cleaned, I would love to go back.

Wonderful girls weekend
This is a great cabin for a group of friends or family to gather for a vacation. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary dishes, utensils, pots and pans. Plenty of space throughout the whole place. We loved sitting outside on the porch and decks. We also loved the fire pit area. Definitely a place we would return to for another getaway.

Bunkhouse Review
Property suited our needs, and was perfect for our revolving door of guests. Twenty-somethings came and went as they were able. Basement was handy when sleep needs were high and we didn’t want to disturb- kitchenette down there allowed for early coffee and quick exit with the dog while others rested. No ice maker, but trays provided. Water tastes good. Ceiling fans are a plus. Two of the 4 A/C units need a good cleaning, so we turned them off. Proximity to Huntingdon was great- also the Resort was only 25 minutes away- dinner aboard the Proud Mary was pleasant. The walk back from the lake, although not far, is not for the faint of heart. I would book again. Reminds me of a family camp I loved when I was young.

Where are the sheets?
The cabin was quaint for sure but had a smell of stale cigars upstairs and cat in the basement. Not god awful dirty but certainly not clean. Lots of dead bugs including in the drawers. Dishes were covered in crumbs but that became-understandable as guest are expected to clean them and put them away. Leading to what I am sure was very little inspection from the host. We had to clean the counters before we could even consider cooking on them. You have to bring your own sheets for the beds as there is none. Bring your own towels, washcloths, paper towels and even TP as there was half a roll on site. As my wife said we just didn’t feel welcome. We felt like unwanted house guest that were only invited for the house warming gifts we would bring.

Details Matter
Great relaxing spot for 3 day weekend. We left a list of good host tips so their next guest will be more comfortable. Instructions needed for fireplace, TV on lower level did not work, Main lighting and fan did not work entire stay, had to use flash lights to read stove and kitchen appliances. Discovered a dehumidifier the second day full and off. Once we emptied and figured out the small electric fireplace could be left on, our kids were much more comfortable. Entrance door very hard to open due to humidity. No contact with hosts, instructions were to text when leaving as no one would be answering the number given. Better communication options needed.

Great cabin in secluded location
This cabin has an authentic, rustic feel and all the amenities necessary to make life in the woods comfortable and relaxing. Love the fire pit just off the front porch and the deck looking out into the surrounding forest. And there are lots of nice hikes and access to the lake just a short drive away.

Great Cabin For A Group Getaway
Easy process to rent this cabin. We were looking for a last minute cabin getaway and stumbled across this cabin. The pictures don’t justify the cabin at all. It’s very rustic and has a great open floor layout perfect for a New Year Eve celebration. Slept 8 of us perfectly since it was two family with 4 in each group. Each of the couples had there own king bed and the kids share the room with the Queen and the two bunk beds . Plenty of parking for 2-3 cars . Definitely would recommend the cabin for a weekend getaway! Not to far from town if you end up forgetting anything. Overall very happy experience. Thank you!

Brown roof cabin
1st of all--the caretaker Christy is exceptional--when we arrived we checked the TV and could not get cable channels thru the ROKU TV. May not seem important for a rustic cabin BUT as Avid Steeler fans it was very important to us to be able to watch the game this weekend. Christy worked with My husband and did her magic to figure out a way to watch the game. I know many rental sites have NO cable recently but for many of us that love our sports-network shows etc. to me this is important to keep. The cabin was overall very nice--though somewhat dated and worn and needs some upgrades especially with lighting. The area is so serene and beautiful with trails right outside to walk the dog--Firepit lovely and nature out every window-door. I see how the walk thru bedroom downstairs may be awkward for privacy but now that we see the set up -we can make it work-seen in other reviews. Stayed in Green roof cabin last year and Brown roof one this year--highly recommend both. Hope to be back next year with more friends and may rent more than one cabin if available--meet college friends for a mini-reunion and my husband was in the skeet competition near by--perfect for both.

Booked the cabin for a family vacation. We had 4 adults, 2 teenagers, and 4 little kids (ages 3-7). Cabin was a perfect fit for our crew. Beds were comfortable, kitchen has all the essentials. The downstairs shower clogged upon our arrival. Was taken care of right away. Great location!
