The front desk guy made me wait while he took a personal phone call, then when he finally gave me my key I went up to the room , which supposedly was a no smoking room, reeked from smoke. Then when I turned on the ac it smelled even worse. There was NO toilet paper in the bathroom and the towels were dirty. Definitely not what they advertise. I felt safe and the area was decent. That said, the hotel is definitely dated and "well-loved." Our room had some functional issues—the AC was weak, the bathroom door was in rough shape, and the beds were doubles rather than the Queens we expected.
