"The place was nice. The pool was closed. That was too bad. The view from the balcony was incredible. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was pretty good. The beds were comfortable. There is a pizza place, liquor store and bar a 1/4 mile up the road. "

"Had a great long weekend in the park hiking and kayaking. I enjoyed the Harmony Beach resort. It was clean and close to everything associated with the park. We had problems with our CO2 detector and they can and fixed it right away. I would definitely stay there again. "

"Our August family summer vacation on Strand Island was perfect. Large cabin with many rooms for the large group we had. Plenty of space inside, the wrap around porch was absolutely perfect for games and the kids loved the swinging beds. We made use of the large outside field area and had many competitive games of wiffle ball. The swimming area was great, and the kayaks were used daily. The views and sunsets were amazing. We definitely recommend Strand Island for a large group get away."

"My family of 4 had a great time here. The lake views and sunsets were amazing, the fishing was great (two largemouth bass over 3 lbs!), we saw bald eagles, loons, mink, Canadian geese, ducks and deer, and the location was perfect: close to town but very private. We never even saw a neighbor. The cabin itself was comfortable and there were so many little extras that made the stay even more enjoyable and showed how much the owners care. A soda stream machine, fire blankets just in case (may seem silly, but it made me feel like the owners have really taken the time to make sure everything is as safe as possible), wire baskets with battery operated lanterns next to each bed in the bunk room, games, a great booklet with all the information you might need about the house, the area, the best local places to eat and more. They even had a book about the local history and another dedicated to tying fishing knots. It was our favorite lake house rental!"
