"The property exceeded our expectations in so many ways! First of all it is so peaceful and the views are amazing!! It has a great porch, and both floors have huge windows, so even when we were inside, we could enjoy the sunsets and stars. They have a perfect sitting area downstairs. It has a couple chairs facing the windows, and you can put your feet up and have coffee in the mourning. It is shown in the picture- one of my sons showing the other how to tie a knot on a fishing pole. Upstairs has a great sitting area as well. A chair perfect for reading, a table where one of my sons did a Lego set, and an extra bed for naps. They have games and puzzles. There is a paddle boat and a canoe. We enjoyed watching our teenagers go across to the island and do the rope swing. Perfect distance- far enough to be an adventure, but close enough to swim if they had too. We did day trips- international falls/ Canada. Bear sanitary in Orr was a highlight of the trip. We were able to do breakfast with the bears. We also went to a wolf sanctuary in Ely. We were going to do the mine there too, but it was closed do to flooding. We also did a boat tour through the national parks to kettle falls and short hikes. Perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. Hosts were great- they decorated for July 4th, left wildflower bouquets, and were very helpful- they even mailed us backed a Canada sweatshirt my son left for no extra charge. We would definitely return!"
