A thoughtfully curated chalet with the sweet sounds of Brickyard Creek waters nearby. Aspen Chalet is a two bedroom, two bathroom property that features a modern twist on a cozy, rustic cabin. Equipped with a full kitchen to meet all of your culinary needs, and full-length counter seating. A two-story stone gas fireplace at the heart, adds a special warmth year-round. The main level features a walk-out king suite connected to a screened-in porch that runs the width of the home. The porch includes an outdoor dining table and plenty of lounging opportunities to cozy up with a book and listen to sounds of nature. The upper level of the home has a queen/twin trundle bed and a bonus nook for working, relaxing, or yoga practice.
Step outside the cabin door to explore privately maintained Brickyard Creek trails covering 70-acres of beautiful Boreal forest or meander to the private community’s sandy beach with access to a picnic area and lakeside fire pit looking out to the Apostle Islands.

Not the same….
Stayed here multiple times now and unfortunately this time was sub-par. Dead flies and mosquitos on window sills, floors and counters. Overall the place was dusty and did not appear to have been cleaned in a while. Also, very few additional supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, zero kleenexes and just enough dishwasher soap to run 1 load of dishes. It’s a great cabin with a great layout but felt like the care and maintenance is slipping. For paying a higher premium and renting through an agency, the expectations are higher.

Great for Bayfield visit
The absolute highlight of this property is the large vaulted screened in “three seasons” room, allowing you the complete feeling of being in the woods without the mosquitoes . Lovely breakfast there each morning and much of our time was spent in this area of the property. Clean property , nice towels and bedding . Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend .

Communication was simple, quick, and clear. Property just as listed and very cute and clean. All basic items were there for kitchen use - including the coffee filters. The screened in patio is amazing! I really appreciated the short and easy check out process - i didn’t have to spend hours cleaning and paying a cleaning fee! Make sure to bring lots of bug spray (for outside) as you are in nature! The wifi was string if anyone needs tk work. Great location to bayfield and has a grocery place within 2 minutes. thank you for a wonderful place to stay!

We adored this property!
Two adult couples spent the weekend here. The cabin is tucked into the woods - so scenic and peaceful. There is a brook with a little bridge and trail behind the cabin. The two-story screened porch with table, couch and chairs were breath taking. We loved the two story fireplace, too. Sheets, pillows, beds and all supplies were top notch. We loved it and will be back!

A few friends and I stayed at the Aspen Chalet during the Book Across the Bay weekend and absolutely loved it! The place was cleaned and well equipped. We will certainly be staying here again!

What a hidden gem! Stayed here for a weekend of snowshoeing and had a great time. Loved the privacy, location and quick access to downtown Bayfield. Great little trails within the property for a quick hike on site.

Great cabin in the woods!
Quiet, secluded chalet with a great walking trail through the woods to Lake Superior! We had a wonderful Christmas stay. Well appointed kitchen. Bed was the most comfortable I have ever had in a rental. Will try to come back in warmer weather to take advantage of the great screen porch.

VERY RELAXING
Had a very nice time with wife and family! Property clean and as pictured. Was secluded, and was just right for our family vacation. Also our youngest left a his favorite stuffed animal there and the cleaning team found it and contacted us so we could arrange shipping to get it back home. Had a great weekend and would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay!
Our family had such a great stay here! The cabin was clean, well furnished and had all the kitchen and bathroom supplies we needed. Loved that most of the soaps and cleaning products were natural and they smelled so good! We did run pretty low on toilet paper so if you are a family with several little kids, you might want to bring extra. Absolutely loved the screened in porch and we were out there frequently even though it wasn’t overly warm. The porch is where the dining table is but we didn’t mind. Several times the kids just ate at the barstools at the breakfast bar anyways. Really enjoyed exploring the trails right out the back door and walking to Lake Superior! Sleeping arrangements worked well for ourselves and three kids. The little nook in the upstairs worked perfectly for our littlest in his pack and play and our other two loved the big bunk beds on the upper level. Since the beds upstairs are in a loft it wasn’t overly quiet for them (if you wanted to stay up and watch tv downstairs, for example) but our kids sleep pretty hard with their sound machine so wasn’t a big problem. Only thing that would have taken the cabin up a notch would be to have laundry on site but we didn’t stay long enough for it to be an issue. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Disappointment in Bayfield
Much smaller than expected; screened-in porch not heated and not usable in cool/cold weather. AND the only dining table is in that porch. As usual for managed properties, lighting very poor due to low wattage bulbs; couldn't read appliance instructions in kitchen without flashlight. Lower bedroom has no bedside reading light; after getting warm and reading one's eyes "to sleep", it is necessary then to get out of bed and walk to the wall to turn off the lights. The upstairs bedroom has bunk beds too large for the room, like sleeping in an MRI tube. While quiet and furnished with some nice bathroom amenities, these fail to make up for the above issues.
