"From the moment I got off the train with my shuttle pickup to my drop off back at the station, I was treated like family. I loved the welcome check-in with Prosecco, the sky bar with fantastic views and fabulous food, and the comfortable room. The hotel is next to the bus station for exploring around St. Moritz and a close walk down to the lake. I took advantage of the wonderful spa and relaxing massage, and my soaking tub each night. I’m glad I stayed 2 nights here for the peace. Thanks to the staff for looking after me so well!"

"We stayed at this hotel for one night after our Bernina Express ride from Tirano. The hotel is located in a town just outside of St. Moritz so we had to hire a taxi to drive us, the ride was about 15 minutes. The manager and associate who checked us in were friendly and helped us with our luggage to our room. We were in time for an afternoon cake and coffee service the hotel offers and our children really loved the cake that was offered. We enjoyed our tea and cake on a patio behind the hotel which is next to the river, it was really scenic. There is a road that you can walk or bike along which takes you to an old church or you can walk to the town center within 5 minutes. There was two grocery markets if you need to pick anything up. That evening we enjoyed a great dinner at the hotels steakhouse. The children had their local specialty which is a super thin crust type of pizza. I had the steak special which was sliced and had a delicious sauce on it. My husband had one of their special aged cuts of beef which was flavorful and tender. The restaurant brought a large menu with the cuts of meat offered for the evening by weight (in grams). You could choose from beef, veal or lamb. When we retired for the evening, we found our room to be a bit warm but we just opened the windows and it cooled the room perfectly. We had a 9am train the next morning so the hotel set up a taxi ride which they covered because we departed from the station in town. Breakfast was also excellent "

"Beautiful stay in a very special location. One thing they don't make clear (or else I missed it!) is that your funicular ticket to get to and from the hotel is included, so you need to tell them at the ticket window at the bottom of the slope that you are staying in the hotel. My only criticisms are the uncomfortable blocky foam sofa in the room and lack of tea/coffee making in room. Had to go to the lounge at the end of the corridor and it was messy and unstocked from the day before. However, all in all a great, romantic stay. Staff were great and the view was out of this world "

"The Kronenhof continues to impress me with its attentive staff, top level service, food, and atmosphere. I received a complimentary room upgrade which I was not expecting. I requested a room change the second day after a significantly long hike due to noise from the Laret festival right below my window. The staff accommodated my request without issue. I will only stay at the Kronenhof when I visit the Upper Engadin."

"The staff at Hotel Bären was friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We liked the high up location and enjoyed exploring the Olympic bobsled run next door. Only downside was extremely small shower and radiator heat that was hard to control."

"The check in agent was kind and pleasant and my registration processes fast and smooth. The hotel is centrally located to the bus station which was super convenient for me. The hotel has few amenities other than dining, and the rooms are rather basic and small however that is all that I required for my short stay, and the price point matched my needs. Breakfast is included and the variety was very good, particularly the fresh pressed juices. However, the breakfast attendant was extremely rude. I was not greeted at the entrance and after waiting I decided to seat myself. I was later told off and given unacceptable attitude as I inadvertently sat at the wrong table. Evidently there is assigned seating for each room number. I did not notice the sign at the entrance as the message in English was is much smaller print than the other languages. It was not necessary for the attendant to be so openly upset and rude to me for my mistake. I appreciate the need for order however I sat at the table late in the morning when the breakfast room was essentially empty. I really hope the hotel management provides training on customer service emphasizing various situations including what I described. I expect to be treated with respect, welcome, and curtesy, but experienced very much the opposite - as such I do not recommend this hotel. "
