“The Peaceful Cottage was very comfortable, extremely clean, and well appointed. After driving on the I-5 all day, it was a cool respite in the heat on my journey. I really liked the little yard for my dog. I only stayed one night but it is close to Redding and Shasta lake dam which was pretty to see in the evening. There are a few restaurants in Shasta Lake town but many more options in nearby Redding. Overall, it was a very nice night's stay.”

“Very nice VRBO. Exactly as described. Backyard was lovely, especially with the covered sitting area.Location was good for access to Lassen. Downtown Redding a short drive away.Shasta Lake City doesn't have a lot of amenities, but a grocery store is close for stocking up on supplies”

“The house is absolutely beautiful! Perfect size for 3 people and so quiet. The freeway is just a short walk away and couldn’t hear a thing! The property felt isolated but is just a short drive from restaurants and shops. Being able to walk down to the river and use the dock was perfect for wading and fishing. Although the river was high at the time of year we were there, it was still enjoyable and relaxing.”

“I had a pleasant stay in the cabin — it's quite nice. However, the common restroom could use better maintenance and cleaning. The handwash was empty.”

“What a beautiful home. Our stay was great with very comfortable beds and very well stocked kitchen and beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed our meals on the spacious deck and loved sitting right beside the river to just be. Rekha and Shyam were wonderful hosts. They answered our questions immediately and checked in with us often. I hope I will be lucky enough to come back to this part of the country to stay here again. There is so much to do and the countryside is beautiful. ”
