Welcome to Chateau Relaxo! This 1890's farmhouse is the perfect spot for family reunions, wedding parties, guys/gals weekend or a large retreat.
The farmhouse has 6 bedrooms, 6 1/2 bath and sleeps 20 (6 king bedrooms, 1 queen, 2 twin beds, 2 daybeds with trundle twins).

If additional space is needed we have a barndominium with 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bath that sleeps 7 (2 king, 1 queen, 1 twin) for an additional fee.
If interested in renting the barndominium please contact through email before booking.

The farmhouse includes luxury sheets/bedding, towels, a full kitchen perfect for home cooked meals, multiple coffee makers with coffee, AC/Heat, soaking tub in two of the bedrooms, a full bathroom for all six king bed master suites, half bath off the kitchen, free WIFI, Direct TV, board games, ping pong table in the garage, toys for babies/small children upon request, washer/dryer, ironing board with iron and a hair dryer.

-The dining room offers three different tables that seat a total of 24 for the many gatherings to come.
-There are 3 fridges total (house, garage and pool house) for those who like to plan their meals ahead to bring.
-There are 2 stoves in the farmhouse kitchen and an additional stove in the pool house for your large gatherings
- Large Weber gas grill for outside grilling and a Komodo Joe grill (must provide your own lump charcoal for this grill)
- Large fire pit outside to sit around with family and friends or make smores (must provide your own wood)
-The pool house has a full kitchen and full bathroom. Enjoy the pool and hot tub and gaze at the stars with a night swim or relax on the back porch of the pool house.
-The gazebo seats 8 comfortably with outdoor lighting for a tranquil setting to enjoy morning coffee or drinks with friends during the incredible sunsets.
Watching for deer or hogs down by the creek is a common sighting. Please note that this is the country and there are critters like armadillos, raccoons, coyotes, rabbits, hogs, snakes and others that you may hear or see around the property. If you choose to venture out on the back of the property you do so at your own risk.
Enjoy the country setting just don't leave food outside overnight for them to enjoy when you head off to bed.

The Cousin’s Get Together

Beautiful house! Very spacious with a great kitchen. The pool and spa were fantastic! It is very private but also close to Brenham for any shopping needs. Brenda is an excellent host and communication/responses were quick and friendly.

Family Christmas

Amazing place!

This place is huge and great for large groups of people! It was the perfect getaway for me and my friends and we had a lot of fun by the pool all day!! Brenda was great and responsive and the houses, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms made our stay spectacular :)

Perfect place for a large family!

The house was the perfect place to spend a few days away from the city in the midst of the pandemic. It was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable! Brenda was an amazing host and was incredibly responsive. We will be visiting again!

Fabulous Getaway

The house was sprawling with lots of space for groups to hang out, while also having plenty of space for quiet times. The pool was in great shape and the property overall was very well maintained. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing family reunion

83 year old parents with 3 children and 3 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Cousin Camp. This was the perfect place and the host were so great and accommodating. We will definitely visit again.

Amazing home for a large group

We had a wonderful time and loved how spacious, clean and private everything was. Being able to seat our large group for dinner and private bedrooms with King size beds was perfect for our group. The host was quick to respond when we had a few questions. Will be back year after year!

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway

This property is beautiful and clean with tons of space for a family. We enjoyed the lovely outdoor area too, especially the hot tub and fire pit. We brought in a lot of food and benefitted from the additional refrigerators on the property. Another plus was the ping pong table in the large garage and the nice massage chair. An overall great location for a family!

Christmas 2024

Our family gather at a mystery location for the last two year to celebrate our Christmas together. This year we chose Chappell Hill, Texas. We had a great time at the Chateau Relaxo. The house accommodated all 21 of us very comfortably and we all had plenty of space. Everyone of every age enjoyed this country home. A lovely place to gather......

Great Week!

This property is a perfect stay for a large group or family. My family consist of 13 people ages 7 through 68. It is comfortable, clean and very spacious. The host is very prompt in responding to our needs. 3rd year in a row that we've stayed. Looking forward to next year.

Absolutely perfect!!!

There were 16 of us., celebrating a 56th wedding anniversary on the 23rd, Mom’s 71st birthday on the 24th and Jesus on Christmas day! We could not have had a better time… it was truly perfect and the property and house were an excellent backdrop for our special family celebrations. The property is beautiful and spacious on the inside and outside and even decorated so elegantly for Christmas with a tree and outdoor lights.

Third Family Vacation

We once again enjoyed our stay. The pool as always was a big hit. We did encounter 3 live scorpions in the house. For the second year the hot water in the sunken two bathrooms had a sulphur smell to it. The new refrigerator was very nice.

65th Birthday

We gathered the family together from Austin and Houston to celebrate my 65th birthday. The house was clean and "HUGE". You can easily have five adult couples stay there and not run into anyone or have a lack of bathrooms. We spent most of the day down at the pool and pool house. We had some young kids so the pool house made it nice for bathroom breaks and just getting out of the sun. It was a great weekend.

Gorgeous country get-away!

This was a treat! Everyone was EXTREMELY happy with the beautiful house, the immense space, the hot tub and pool house, and the kitchen amenities. I appreciated the number of king beds! All the kiddos had somewhere comfy to sleep and lots of spots to play. I enjoyed all the dining tables so we could set up our dominoes and card games. The dogs enjoyed the large fenced yard, and I had a lot of fun tromping around by the pond in the mud. The house is RIGHT off 290, super easy to access and find. We enjoyed eating at Chappell Hill Sausage and 'touring' downtown Chappell Hill. Spent a little time in Brenham, too. This is a great spot for a little bit of remoteness but ability to go out to a dinner not too far away.

So Amazing!

Our family really enjoyed our stay and we were really impressed with the property. The pool was wonderful, the hot tub was perfection and outdoor areas were spacious and clean. Each room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. I have already recommended this property to several friends. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful property. The pictures couldn’t prepare us for just how spacious and comfortable it is in person. It feels full of charm and history. The giant trees, lovely breeze and peaceful setting in nature made our getaway even more wonderful. It was also well equipped for swimming (lots of nice pool towels and a pool house with a bathroom and kitchen area) and cooking which made our vacation easy even with a large group. I hope we are back very soon.

Paradise In the Country

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. We had a large groups of family staying with us for our daughter’s wedding in Brenham & there was PLENTY of room for everyone. The pool & pool house were amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. There was also a barn on the property if you’re hosting an event there.

Wonderful Venue for a Family Reunion
