“We came for a long weekend to watch the solar eclipse. Dave's place is exactly as shown in the photographs - a very nice apartment, very clean and updated, and the beds were super comfortable. The house rules were clear and easy to follow, and our host Dave was very responsive. We had a very nice time and would definitely stay here again. Thanks Dave.”

“My husband, daughter and I were heading to Sylvan Beach for a surprise birthday party for his grandma and needed a place to stay. This place was perfect. We had a five month old, the place was super clean. It was shockingly warm so we were able to walk to the Pancake House for breakfast and the beach to look at the lake. The hosts was very nice and property manager. If we need to come back for a family visit we will stay there or talk everyone into renting the bigger property.”

She checked on everyone who stayed and made sure we had everything we needed, answered any questions we had, and suggested some great places to eat or local stores. “We have been to Syracuse with our sons for the last 8 years—the last one just graduated. In all that time, we had not experienced Franklin Square. It was JUST lovely. Near a great path, a great coffee store. And the apartment and parking was ideal. Highly recommend!”

“This was an excellent place to view the 2024 eclipse. It was secluded and a short drive to close state parks. This cabin has great amenities like a rain shower and an adjustable bed. Because of the compact size, I'd recommend it for a party of 4 or less looking to get away.”

“Wow! This property has everything. Host is extremely responsive. You will enjoy an outdoor oasis with secluded patios and fire pits. The coffee bar was adorable. There are so many cute details like the sweet alcove, the office under the stairs, and the little dog bed nook. The place is well stocked if you forget anything. Highly recommend! ”

“There were some great things about the property and a few things that need to be improved to make this a 5-star stay. Location is solid, very walkable neighborhood! Apartment has everything you need in the kitchen. Designated parking spot. Some things to be aware of include there are steep stairs to get to the second floor. Some areas for improvement include host communication, smoke smell, noise control, and upgrading bedding to higher quality. Host communication: Initial communication……

“Our biggest complaint was the real strong smell of Marijuana when you got in the building.”

“All online pictures were a lie, completely edited. Pulled up into a not so nice neighborhood, which was not safe what so ever. Especially if a family with kids show up. Drug deals, cops, gun fires. Complete filth, roach in the tub. Stayed 15 minutes, packed up the car and left. Would expect a free refund, but they scammed the system. So thank you VRBO for allowing people to be screwed over like this. Will never recommend your website or this property to ANYONE, EVER. 0/10 would never recommend,……

“Our family tremendously enjoyed our stay in this lovely lakeside home. Great spaces for both indoor and outdoor relaxing; gorgeous views of the water (we were there in April, so too cold to swim, but it would be fantastic in the summer!); exceptionally well appointed with cookware and dining ware. “We loved the property and once we got sorted out about being able to bring our dogs everything was great. The area is lovely and the fenced yard was a plus. The house was comfortably furnished and well stocked. Eclipse day was cloudy but we were able to get views from the back yard. We used extra days to explore some natural areas, awesome and I got to hang out with both my sons and DIL in a roomy house on a beautiful lake.”
