"Friendly staff and easy check in experience. Building is older but very clean with some upgrades in each room-new floors, sink and fixtures. Regardless of the hotels age the hotel is clean! If you have a car this hotel will be convenient. Hotels across the bridge in Halifax were over double in price. Happy that we found this hotel for a great price. Atlantic Superstore across the road (walking distance), gas station close by, entrance to highway close by, local restaurants within a 5 minute drive. There is a local cafe within a 5 minute walk on the water that services a great breakfast. "

"1970’s spacious retro basement suite. Lovely lake view and had coffee and wine down by the lake to watch the birds several times. Fun with the ping pong table too - what a nice addition. Was damp downstairs and dehumidifier was quite noisy. We still had a lovely time . "

"Perfect location for our stay. 25 minutes to airport and 25 from downtown Halifax, 8 min walk to fisherman’s wharf where we met our guide with Blue Shark charter, 15 minutes to Rainbow Park beach. It was great being able to relax in the calm of the harbour, watching the sunset after a long touring day. Our host met me on arrival, with an umbrella for the torrential rain, and gave me a tour of the home as well as where the essentials were and the extras down at the beach house. Our host also provided us with a takeout meal as we arrived about 2030h as well as some water in the fridge and a big congratulations for my son who finished university. It’s an older home which has benefited from upgrades and modernization. The heat pumps kept it cool on the hot days - and there were many. The bathroom and shower were modernized, clean and good with plenty of amenities and towels and such. The BBQ was fairly unused but we made good use of it with farm fresh sausage and steaks and freshly caught Atlantic cod. A very comfortable stay in a picturesque location away from the hustle of Halifax. "
