"I wasn’t excited about a Best Western, but the charm of this location changed my mind. The restaurant next door was fabulous for breakfast. The room was clean and the views from the patio overlooking the river as I enjoyed my coffee, made the stay worthwhile. I really enjoyed the local photography on the walls. Nice touch!"

"My high school chum and I were doing a reunion road trip and stayed at the BW in Sandy, Oregon for one night. Rosa and Ryan checked us in. They greeted us warmly and professionally. Rosa was genuinely interested in helping us. Ryan helped us with an AC problem. We were cool in no time. Nathan, who was on the night desk, offered to take our picture when we three returned from dinner when he saw that a selfie wasn’t going to be the best choice. Nathan asked if there was anything he could do to make our stay pleasant. Breakfast was tasty! The offering gave us lots from which to choose. We enjoyed the omelets, fresh orange, waffles with marion berry syrup and whipped cream, bacon and coffee. This was my second time at the BW Sandy and was pleased again. Thank you Rosa, Ryan, and Nathan. "

"We really liked this hotel. It was very clean. It started with check-in by a really nice, friendly lady at the desk. Our room really nice. The bed was too hard for me but perfect for my husband. No surprise there. It seemed like a new hotel. I'm not sure how long it has been there. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed our stay there."

"We frequently stay at this location for business purposes, and I do mean FREQUENTLY!! We've found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Although we have had some small issues a FEW times during stays: bathroom door not locking, fan not working, ac not working, missing fridge/micro, they have ALWAYS come through for my technicians. In our line of business where we travel A LOT, it is hard to find a good stay where my guys can get a good days sleep (working graveyard) without interruption, and staff willing to make a cup of coffee for them even past time. We appreciate this location and its staff very much, and I'm glad to know when I send my guys up North for work, I can rest assured they are comfortable and well taken care off. ☆☆☆☆☆"

"Had an unplanned layover in Portland while getting repair work done on my Sprinter Van. An employee at Outside Van recommended McMenamins Edgefield and really glad I chose this place. Unique lodging experience and fabulous dinner and breakfast at the pub and restaurant in the main lodge. Much better than staying at a chain hotel! Would have liked to take advantage of the billiards, but didn’t have anyone to play with. Would definitely stay here again if I’m in the Portland area!"
