"Stayed one night as a stopover to Cornwall. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming. My daughter and her husband also stayed with the dog who was left a basket of treats and made to feel very welcome. We had an evening meal and breakfast both of which were very good."

"Room and bathroom were extremely clean and well kept. Pub is separate from the rooms but about 20 meters walk away and they serve food which is convenient. Very quiet area. Comfy beds. Plenty of parking. Easy drive to Bath from here, took about 25 mins. Complementary tea and coffe sachets with kettle and biscuits. Full length mirror and then another mirror in bathroom and another infront of the desk area. Good size bathroom with well working shower which is nice and hot. "

"It is a true gem of a hotel. Beautiful buildings, both old and new, and a magical garden. Two residents lounges plus a library with pool/snooker table. Reception were efficient and friendly, and the room exceeded our expectations, with wonderful attention to details. I am not a breakfast lover, but there was plenty of xhoice, and frankly the best hotel breakfast I have ever sampled. The situation of the hotel made it easy to walk to the old castle, and Sherborne itself is picturesque and full of history. A wonderful break for us both, and Bruce the dog."
