"Loved the decor inside "

"The outside mountain views were amazing. There were deer in the area. The cabin was extremely clean and nice. It was decorated just right and made us feel at home. The kitchen had everything necessary plus extras if needed. The coffee maker was ready as well as a nice grinder. Amenities were numerous and appreciated. The gas fireplace was delightful. The large deck was nice and there was an outdoor fire pit. The property is all to itself with plenty of privacy to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountain outdoors. There are great hikes nearby, including Seneca Rocks, Chimney Top, and Dolly Sods. Cheetah B's restaurant in Petersburg is great. I would highly recommend this property for a lovely getaway in the mountains. It snowed a bit on the last two days of our stay, which made the views even better. The host was very good and communicated well. I will definitely keep The Rusty Lantern in mind for future West Virginia trips. Excellent"

"The kitchen was well equipped, and we especially appreciated the bottle of olive oil on the counter, since we’d forgotten ours! There was plenty of space, both indoors and out. We’d love to stay again some time when the weather is warmer so that we could get more enjoyment from the outdoor facilities."

"We went with several others, some who had been going to the area for almost 50 years. The entire experience was wonderful! Extremely clean, well stocked, views were awesome. The owners checked in to make sure everything was okay. We have already decided to return next year for additional days. "
