5/5 stars as the room was clean, the air conditioner worked well and made for a comfortable place to sleep, and we had plenty of hot water for showering. We booked based on price as we intended on hiking Acadia and sightseeing and spending little time in the room. The Robbins motel is definitely older and out of date compared to other hotels I've stayed at, but was immaculate and perfect for what we needed, a place to shower and sleep. If you're planning on grocery shopping, or bringing leftovers back from restaurants, bring a cooler as the rooms did not have refrigerators (not advertised though so totally fair, just a miss on my planning). The office has a microwave and a nice, large ice machine. We flew in from out of state and I would have checked a cooler had I planned better. The BBQ place across the street was very good. Bar harbor was very busy (parking a challenge, and very busy place in general) so having a nice place to eat and not having to try to drive into Bar Harbor was convenient. Also was very near a park entrance to Acadia which made for quick trips into the park or back to rest after hiking very convenient.

The location of this home is very misleading. Although if you search the exact location, you will find it’s in/near the forest but looking at the pics posted you would think it was near the beach and it is not. I could overlook that if the home was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable but that was not the case. We were given 5 bath towels for 4 people for 4days, 1 dish cloth, 1 hand towel and 1 dirty sponge with no washer or dryer and no dishwasher. Extra towels were dropped off once we called the owner but we didn’t ask for toilet paper and ran out of that as well. It just seemed like the bare minimum was done to make us comfortable. If you stay here just know you need to bring your own supplies unless you want to spend your vacation on the phone with the owners.
