"This was a perfect cabin for our weekend family getaway. My kids loves the bunk beds and the fact they had their own room. Beds were comfortable and the grey blankets were super soft and cozy to snuggle up in! The cabin is in a great location and was super easy to find. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we had a wonderful view of the lake from the front windows. Ken and Angelina were fantastic hosts and so easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!"

"We loved the cabin and enjoyed our stay. The wood burning stove kept the cabin warm despite it being the middle of February. The property is beautiful with the river steps away. We're already planning on going back later this year and taking advantage of the canoes."

"Host was great, house was stocked above and beyond. Rental was just what me needed while we handled the passing of a family member. For those with children location is great township park is just a short walk away, rental has a huge yard many games and a swing set and a pool table. Township dog park is also a short walk away. "Some friends and I (mid-late twenties) chose this cabin for our place to stay for our annual cross-country ski trip and we couldn't have picked a better place. There were plenty of beds for all of us; the kitchen was well equipped; the wifi was fast and it was easy to connect and watch sports on the Roku and TV; the whole house was warm despite temps well below freezing; and the host, Joe, was incredibly patient and accommodating with us despite some weather-related delays. "The Firehouse Cabin is really a neat place to stay. The interior is rustic with firefighter decor throughout. It is very clean and inviting. The owner promptly replied to me when I had a question regarding the tv, which was immediately resolved over the phone. Overall, an amazing place!"

"I came here with my 8, 15, and 20 year old sons and his girlfriend for the weekend to remember my mom who passed away in December 2021. Higgins Lake was my mom and step dad’s favorite place to vacation. The cottage is very clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you need including the supplies for a campfire. The owner was very easy to communicate with. I would definitely love to stay here again! Everything was perfect!"

The upstairs bedroom with the private bath and sitting area was very nice. It's big enough to put an air mattress for extra sleeping spots if needed. "The reason for our stay was to get out of the heat in Florida! We used to have a place at Higgins Lake until 3 years ago. We always enjoyed it here. It's a different pace of life compared to downstate and Florida. More relaxing. We miss that. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. They made sure it was equipped with everything you would need. Very clean and neat. It definitely gives you that "Up North" feel."
