First of all, the front desk and the valet staff were exceptionally helpful and gracious. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and excited to be there. And as soon as we got to the room we realized just how old the hotel itself must be. There's barely a flat surface, a plumb wall or floor in the building. We had a spacious balcony that was virtually unusable -- the floor was so slanted it felt like you were going to slide off. The railing was wobbly (we were on the 5th floor), and the service area of the hotel must have been just below us, it was so loud we couldn't stand sitting out there -- which was a bummer because we had paid extra for the room, a lot more than the standard, and the view was phenomenal. Just didn't feel safe, and you couldn't hear the person next to you the machinery down below was so loud. Beds, sheets and pillows are fantastic -- very quiet once the balcony door was closed, and we slept very well. And the rest of the rooms amenities were just great. The TV, the coffee maker, the toiletries in the shower, all top notch. The breakfast in the main restaurant wasn't that great, but they're also we're not a lot of guests taking advantage of it, so it's sort of understandable. Unexpected though, I would think the food would be really important to maintain a draw.

High level hotel, with many non-seen before original ideas in all areas (specially breakfast). Excellent.

The location is nice, tucked away and feels very safe. The room was comfortable and the kitchen area was nice to have. The bed could have been a little better, the mattress wasn't great. BEWARE if you are on a floor with anyone above you. The people above us were awake at 1:00 am and at 5:00 and sounded like a herd of buffalo, (although the front desk said it was only two adults). I didn't hear hall noise from neighbors, but I did here whoever was above us, LOUDLY. "Breakfast" is a term that is very loosely used. It consisted of granola bars, oatmeal packets (although no bowls out anywhere in which to eat the oatmeal), a few apples and some prepackaged boiled eggs. The pet fee can vary, as we paid $25 for our dog, but while I was down getting coffee I watched as another person paid $20 for their dog. There was plenty of parking and we felt comfortable leaving the majority of our things in our vehicles overnight. There is also plenty of places in which to walk around.
