"After reading other reviews and looking at pictures, we were very disappointed by our stay here. Upon arrival at the property, we had to wait to be greeted. When We walked into the property, all of the curtains were shut, and it was very dark and had a strange vibe. When we were shown to our room, it was in a bleak state. "A lovely small hotel, with beautiful views and very helpful staff. There is a fantastic roof terrace but unfortunately at the moment they do not have a licence to serve alcoholic drinks, which is a shame. We only had one meal there, apart from breakfast and it wasn’t outstanding. The pizza was bland and unappetising. Sitting on our balcony looking down at the lights of Kandy was a pleasure. "

"The service provided by the staff of Kandy City is excellent, the hotel itself is a little dated and the picture isn’t actually the hotel. But for a budget option my partner and I were happy.
