Family vacation

It was a nice property. We enjoyed our stay. It was close to town, which made it nice. We thought it could have been a little cleaner, but overall a good place for family.

Hot Springs getaway

Functionally a great place to stay for a small group. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only negative is that the place could use a painting and minor upgrades to bathrooms and doors.

July 4th vacation

House was very nice. Plenty of space we had 4 adults and a soon to be 2 year old. Nice deck to watch the geese.

Couldn’t ask for a better location!

Great place for an extended or large family in Hot Springs! Great location to get to town quickly for dinner or the store and quick to Bathhouse Row if you’re there for sightseeing. Property was on a nice, quiet street, with more than enough indoor and outdoor space for everyone, including our little dog (with a fenced in yard!) The beds were all very comfortable and the kids enjoyed the hot tub!

Highly Recommended!

What a great place to stay in Hot Springs. The location is perfect and very peaceful. The outdoor dock area was the perfect place to relax after long days on the motorcycle. The interior was very spacious and accommodated 3 couple with no problems. Minutes from everything but felt farther due to the quiet. We will definitely stay here next time we travel to Hot Springs.

Good Stay

The home was clean and as pictured. Like other review said it is much bigger in person and there was plenty of room for the entire family to have their own space. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace. Minor cosmetic work would make this home better and the kitchen was not as well stoked as other VRBOs I've stayed in. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Christmas Getaway

Location was excellent. Short drive to all the places we wanted to see. Love that we were provided with fire log starters and plenty of firewood to burn along with other basics that you usually have to buy yourself (trash bags, toilet paper, soap). Loved the layout and spaciousness of the house Property could use some updating and deep cleaning. The hot tub was also not functioning properly which was very disappointing.since it’s one of the reasons we choose this location.

Great X-mas Vacation

We loved the Woodsy lake retreat! The house was spacious and clean, the kitchen stocked and the firewood abundant. The back porch is very soothing and our kids loved playing the ping pong table. We had an issue with the garage door, but the Property managers took care of this quickly. We walked to the nearby pizza place and had some great day trips. Too bad the water in the lake is down in the winter for maintenance (which we were told) so we could not fish much. All in all the house is lovely and feels very secluded.

Never wanted to leave

The house is beautiful. Owner/James explained building it himself. The brick flooring, dark wood floors, gorgeous windows, massive level deck- we want this house. Boating w raft was the kids favorite. Close to grocery store & WalMart. Walked around Hot Springs Natl park & ate at Bubaloo’s- super cheap. Went up tower & drank mineral spring water. Here for 5 days and spent most of our time at the house because it was lovely, so much space for 6 of us. Games at table over looking water. Want to come someday! Super clean & well taken care of. Thank you James!!!

Comfortable property, beautiful location

The property was in a lovely neighborhood with a beautiful view of the channel. The house was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen had all the needed utensils, dinnerware, and cookware; however, the kitchen needed a good scrub. There were cobwebs apparent in a few spots. There was broken floor tile in one of the upstairs bathrooms, with sharp (and dangerous) edges. Also, missing light bulbs in several fixtures made certain areas dim, and there was no really good reading light. Owner was very prompt and congenial in responding whenever contacted.

Great location! Property looks as it does in the pictures. There was plenty of room for my friends and I. I don't have anything negative to say about the property or the owner. I do have to note that the owner forgot to pay the electric bill, so when we arrived at 4.......the power was out. I called the owner immediately and he was unaware. He apologized and said he would check into it. The problem was resolved and power was restored a little over an hour later.

Just what the doctor ordered!

I’m gonna start with the property. It was just as depicted in the photos - a marvelous lake house, decorated as such, with all the amenities listed and desired. We had plenty of room for the six of us (3 adults and 3 kids). The kids were 6, 11, & 13. The kitchen was large with plenty of counter space which included a bar. All of the kitchen tools needed, plus some and abundant cabinet storage. We cooked breakfast every morning and dinner most evenings and had ample storage and prep room for a weeks worth of groceries. The outdoor area was very nice with plenty of room for all of us. Also, the grill was practically new which we enjoyed. Next, the area and lake were awesome. Lake Hamilton and the local eateries were somewhat upscale and inviting. The food choices were many as well as variety. The area close to the property felt safe, as well as the merchants we visited near the neighborhood. Jim, the owner, was very attentive and receptive to all of our needs and questions. He was genuinely interested in making our stay as pleasant as possible. We really enjoyed our time there. The house, area, and owner made it a great vacation spot. I would definitely recommend staying at Jim’s lake house, you won’t be disappointed.

Great Lake House

Great house for our family reunion stay. We had 6 adults and our dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The deck was great, even though it was hot outside we did use the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable. We did have use of the boat which was the hi-lite of the trip. We used it for water skiing and to get to a restaurant for dinner. Nice area and neighborhood.

Nice home close to everything you need and a bonus being on the lake

We all enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for our group. The back deck was really nice and enjoyed our geese that visited everyday. We had a few issues at the beginning but the owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful. If you’re looking for a nice home within a short drive to everything and on the lake , this is definitely the place. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

We had a fantastic time at the Woodsy Lake Retreat! The home was exactly what we were hoping for—very spacious with plenty of bedrooms to comfortably accommodate our group. Everyone had enough room to spread out and relax, but the common areas were also perfect for spending time together.The location is great—quiet and private, tucked away just enough to feel secluded, but still close to everything you need. The lake access is absolutely wonderful—easy to get to and perfect for swimming, kayaking, or just sitting by the water with a drink in hand.The house was well-stocked with all the amenities we needed, and you can tell it’s been thoughtfully set up for guests. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and made our stay super comfortable.Overall, it was a peaceful, relaxing retreat that gave us the perfect mix of downtime and lake fun. Would definitely come back again!

Calming views with a great location for a hot springs getaway!

The views and scenery were amazing! We loved all the windows to take it all in. We had some rainy days here and there so the ping pong table and board games were an extra bonus to keep us entertained. The fishing was great with some night crawlers, it kept the family entertained for days. The hot tub was plenty warm. Property was clean and inviting. Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was nicely stocked, paper towels included and they had great coffee options. The Owner was a pleasure to talk to. As a prev review said Sam’s Pizza is just down the road, we enjoyed the food and scenery there as well.
