“My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh……

“Great rustic lodging. Helpful and friendly host. Beautiful area and close to many hiking trails in parks and preserves. Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). ”

“Not only is the cabin gorgeous but the location and the property could not be better for a quiet escape in the woods. The pups loved swimming in the lake. The star viewing is also unmatched. The whole experience is perfect. ”

“Quiet and Secluded. We had a great time sitting around the fire, great memories, very clean, The kids had a great time. The top bunk mattress was fine for my 8 year old but would have been a bit stiff for me. My older son slept on the futon he loved it. Plenty of towels, The water heater is a small one but we could each get nice hot showers if we waited a bit between. It would reheat quickly for the next shower. ”

“we had a great experience and the owners are kind and helpful. They prepared us for that place within an hour. It wasn't easy to reach that place (due to the gravel road). Other than that, the place is nice.”

“The pictures don’t do this justice. It’s a perfectly lovely camp (if you’re a Mainer, you know this term), and the views and peace and quiet can’t be beat. The camp is easy to find, cozy, comfortable and clearly has such wonderful memories from Laura’s family. We picked this place because it’s right between Lubec/Campobello Island and Bar Harbor/Acadia, with easy driving access to both places. Laura was very kind and contact with her was prompt and friendly. We wouldn’t change a thing about this……

“Property was amazing. Beautiful, peaceful, very private location.All amenities were as described. The sauna was wonderful, especially to soothe sore muscles after a hike on the Bold Coast Trail.Would love to return during the summer to enjoy warmer weather activities.Highly recommend this property.Sue the owner was so easy to work with.Thankful she shared this little slice of heaven with us!”

“Very quiet, hunter cabin feel with modern amenities like air conditioning, laundry, gas stoves and a full bathroom with on demand hot water. Waking up to deer walking by the front door was amazing to see in the morning. An awesome getaway to be by ourselves after our wedding”

“This was a very nice place to stay. Quiet and comfortable. Our communication with the host was excellent. The WiFi wasn’t great. Our connection would be dropped frequently, which was annoying when we tried to use the smart TV and our devices.”

“No code was ever sent to check in, the cabin was just unlocked. Not used or cleaned in a while. Spider webs everywhere. 2 half dollar size spiders in the tub. No wifi. No curtain on door right by sink to brush teeth etc. Zero privacy. Not even a checker board or newspaper to occupy kids. No fan in bathroom made it very steamy, and could barely change in the tiny shower/toilet area. Screw actually sticking out through wall in these rushed together cabins. Unless you want to get the bare bones,……

“Great place to stay! View was fantastic. Staff were very helpful in every way. Only real complaint is that they should have had umbrellas for the picnic tables at each cabin. I’d recommend this place to family and friends!”
