We had the most delightful stay at the Whispering Pines Hotel. Spotless hotel with delightful and polite staff. The night was very stormy but we felt warm and cosy and despite the numerous times the electricity cut out the generators kicked in and we were back on with power with no fuss. My only criticism is the meal prices were way too high and the choices were too limited

Beautifully designed, friendly staff. The bedroom was good size with comfortable large bed, and really nice bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. Great to have a spa downstairs.

I highly recommend the Puffin boat tour with Turus Mara on the island of Mull. If you are staying in Oban you can book at the ferry terminal which includes a ferry to Mull, shuttle across Mull to the harbour to meet the tour boat. Remember to pack a lunch.
Words cannot describe the experience of having a few hours seeing these beautiful birds so close up and so many.
The photo shows one looking up watching a seagull glide across the cliff top.
There are also fulmars and razorbills.
You will also be taken to Fingals Cave on the island of Staffa.

We stayed in ‘The Bothy’ at Artun. Mrs Cameron met us and made us feel welcome. The position of the Bothy was good for us as it was close to the loch and we saw an otter. We enjoyed the peaceful setting. Thank you.
