"A really great and unique experience that was different to the usual B&B offering. Room, breakfast and people were all excellent and would recommend a visit if in Winchester. Thanks! Neal"
"The property was basic, as expected, but the host's behavior was shockingly unprofessional and erratic. After honestly correcting a simple booking mistake (one guest instead of two) and promptly offering payment, the host initially seemed polite but slow to respond.
Things turned serious when I accidentally locked myself out of the bedroom—without shoes or phone—and urgently contacted him via my smartwatch. He claimed he'd arrive in an hour but vanished for hours, ignoring multiple calls....
"The check in lady was nice once I could reach her. I had to ask a guest in the garden restaurant to call the number for me so we could check in and then again to get the wifi code. The room was above a pub that played loud music until well after midnight. The door knob on the bathroom was broken and a family member got locked in there until we found the broken piece of the knob to open the door. "

"Informal, buzzy hotel with lovely, friendly and efficient staff. Had an issue with our room and quickly moved. We booked basic twin but would go for the club in future as more roomy and modernised. Dog friendly hotel, dogs I think are booked into the ground floor rooms.
Menus in bar and restaurant which are right next door to each other are good for allergies. I’m GF but had no problem. Pool is small and busy but all one depth and not too deep. Well maintained and you can’t get in without filling in a form, being a guest or a member. Didn’t have time for a treatment. Hotel parking is limited, saw some charging points. We parked in front of hotel reception in the public car park which was fine about £7 a day I think? There is a short walk to the Cathedral, shops and even nearer for the theatre. Slopey rather than hilly. Good location. We felt safe there. Good shopping! Will book again. "
"We stayed for one night. Lovely lady on reception, polite, efficient and friendly. Beautiful room (we were given an upgrade), very spacious, clean, comfortable bed. Plenty of choice with tea, coffee, biscuits etc.
The toiletries were good quality. Lovely big bathroom.
The room was mega hot but there was a great fan so no problem. Would recommend. Great location too."
"There was no tourist info or writing note paper or pencil in the room. The bathroom wash basin waste water would not drain properly. Blocked wast pipe. "
