"Really loved views of the ocean suite, nice grounds & beach next door was never busy. As others mentioned, our King reservation was not guaranteed so we almost ended up in a double. Be sure to call ahead & confirm what you expect. No coffee in the lobby available, not even during the grab & go breakfast. Small in-room pot only. Nice perks of sunrise yoga, and having bikes for use as long as one is available that is your size since the seats don't adjust. East parking. Great spot to explore Kauai by car, would stay here again!"
"All of us (family of 4, kids aged 12 and 6) agreed that our vacation in Kauai was the best we've ever had together. A big part of that was our choice of accommodations. At first I was a bit worried about the price, but the joy we experienced and the quality of vacation we had proved it was the right choice. Great location, especially for a family like us that chooses to cook breakfasts and some dinners instead of dragging picky eater kids to restaurants, the facility and grounds were beautiful, sun rises over the ocean, easy proximity to all the island's attractions, and the wonderful pool and water slides. We all had a great time and I think a big part of that was "home base" of the Waipouli Beach Resort. Even having to spend a chunk of vacation evactuated due to the tsunami warning did not hamper our good time. :)"

"Great room with an even better view! We loved having sunrise coffee on the balcony and on the grassy area between the pool and ocean. The central location made it easy to explore both North and South shores. It’s close to grocery stores and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and silverware, but had very limited spices—bring your own. The A/C in the front room helped at night, and the loft stayed comfortable with a great breeze in late July. You’ll need to keep the front door open to cool the unit, but the screen door doesn’t lock. The pool was a nice bonus—busy at sunset but refreshing on hot days. The facility is older, and while the third-floor location offers great views and airflow, carrying luggage or groceries up the stairs is a bit of a workout. Overall, a great stay and excellent value!"

"Amenities in this condo were above and beyond thoughtful... Finally a vacation rental with attention to important details like quality mattresses for a good night sleep, extra supplies including paper products, spices & beach going necessities. Comfortable upgrades & amazing views. The only downside was the laundry not in the unit but accessible to the building as a whole. But a minor inconvenience in the whole of this rental. Easy access to a beautiful beach, walking trail and amenities. "

"We were so impressed with the location an property for our weekend girls trip! It was easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. The pool and hot tub were open later than I expected, which meant we got to explore all day, and also enjoy the amenities. Appreciated the beach chairs at the rental that we could take with up for a day of exploring. The unit was clean and well cared for. If I go back to Kauai, I'd stay here again!"

"This was a wonderful stay. The place was beautiful and felt very homey. The view is spectacular. We could have just sat on the patio for hours. We did all the tourity things and had fun instead. The location is good except you can't make a left turn out of the property and the traffic is quite heavy so it was a little hastle getting out.We enjoyed it so much we want to bring our grown kids next year."

"We loved our stay at Pono Kai... the unit was so comfortable with a gorgeous view. We sat daily and enjoyed our macadamia nut coffee (thanks ABC store!) and kids ate cereal on lanai. The unit had great a/c unit in living room and the fans were great in the bedroom. We loved the pool and jacuzzi area and used them often. The laundry on floor 1 was easy to use and coin operated. The grounds are lovely. We really loved watching the chickens in the day and frog spotting at night by the koi pond.The location is great, very close to the center of town. we hit the ABC store many time, enjoyed chocolate tasting in the Lydgate tasting room, and had a wonderful breakfast at the Kountry Kitchen. don't miss these!We love Kauai and will definately return to Pono Kai!Mahalo"

"Location, view, cleanliness, condo, and property rental company were all perfect!. Had a problem with a screen door and the safe and they were fixed in under an hour. Everything we needed was in the condo for a day at the beach. There is no AC but we totally didnt need it, there were fans in every room and the ocean breeze kept us comfortable. We will definately stay here again if we ever come back to this magical island. Thank you for a fabulous vacation!"
