“This is our second stay at the Shaw's property, and certainly won't be our last. I love the proximity to Poipu Beach and the many restaurants and shops in the area. My favorite part is that it's located off a quiet street, with low noise levels. The property itself is beautiful, with a comfortable lanai for sitting outside, even when it rains. The inside is beautifully appointed, with literally anything you might need to make it your home away from home. The Shaws are responsive to questions or……

"Great value stay in Kauai, especially for families. This is probably the best value hotel we’ve stayed at in Hawaii. It’s not a luxury resort, but it offers everything you need. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained without feeling outdated. The location is a huge plus. It’s close to the airport and within easy walking distance to Coconut Marketplace, where you can find restaurants and a grocery store. Not needing to drive for meals or snacks was extremely convenient. The hotel’s restaurant, Lava Lava Beach Club, is also delicious and worth trying. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was spotting a monk seal resting right on the beach in front of the hotel—such a special and unexpected experience. A couple of small things could be improved: the shower pressure in our room was a bit weak, and the public microwave in the lobby wasn’t very easy to find. Overall, this hotel is a great option for families. Our 2-year-old had a wonderful time here, and we would happily stay again on our next trip to Kauai."

"Room is clean, location is good, near many food options, easy access to many places. However, charged for the resort fee that covers breakfast, morning yoga, and parking, their breakfast is a joke, package pastries and cereal, all the unhealthy premade package food. But that is the only complaint, everything else is good."
