“It’s a pleasant experience to stay in this B & B. The host Tom is very friendly and helpful. Nicely decorated bedroom with everything I need. There’s a kettle and a few types of tea inside the room, and the breakfast is more than good enough for me. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Knighton. It’s just a small town and so it’s within walking distance to all main attractions.”

“The property was excellent, 3 good size bedrooms for a change. Although very isolated, up a very narrow track but it was worth it. I would come back again for the week with the dogs to just chill out and enjoy the peace and quiet, and the bleating sheep.”

“Lovely b&b would definitely stay again!
Food absolutely delicious in the pub and for breakfast (using locally tour ed ingredients) and great choice of both food and drinks.
Super friendly staff, make you feel very welcome and they’re really helpful!
Rooms comfortable and the air con in bedroom was a huge plus! My Bathroom (room 2) had a huge bath tub and a shower with great water pressure and temperature.
WiFi free and excellent throughout the building.

“We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again.”

“We have stayed here on numerous occasions & find the staff are always friendly / helpful. However upon my original booking, it would have been nice to know that the pub now closes at 4pm every Sunday. I was looking forward to an evening meal as it has always been excellent in the past.
I do concider the cost high to stay in a pub & considering we were not able to use all the amenities. So I may look elsewhere on my next visit to see family in Leominster.”

“Needed a place close to Shropshire to visit rellys - my wife found this online and the photos and reviews were stellar.
The longest, twistiest single lane country road with flocks of bantams took 15 minutes to reach the lodge from theain A road. Crazy!
Fortunately, no one came the other direction so only the wildlife provided the hazards.
The lodge is a converted barn/stables/something old and quirky.
It has wifi and very polite staff. Nod to Winter and Tomasz who made our first night with……
