"We stayed at Hotel Gounod for one night in September! It was so pleasant. From the easy check in, clean room, great breakfast in the AM, and its location … we loved it! They even held our bags for us after check out until we were ready to leave Nice. I would definitely recommend!"

"Loved the beach front room!!! It’s an absolute must to wake up with the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean. Everything was walkable, staff were friendly and was the perfect location. "

"Really liked this place. It's a good size, comfortable, great balcony and well-located close to tram stop. Being slightly outside the main tourist frenzy is nice and it's an easy walk to the centre and to the main train station. The kitchen is well-stocked but beware of the multiple threats of how much they are going to charge you if you actually use it! The difference between the warmth of the staff and the warnings that plaster the room was a bit jarring, and it's naughty that they advertise the kitchen but don't mention that it's an additional charge to use it. But it's fine if all you want is a cup of coffee and a bit of cheese for breakfast (just make sure you clean well before you leave!) and the fridge is a decent size so really useful to have. Overall a good base and reasonably priced for the area, especially given the size of the space."
