The only thing I didn’t love was the breakfast. There was a good selection of food, but so over priced. I got a 35.00 credit for it and for 2 people it came to 76.00 and that was minus the 35.

I love staying at the Westhouse. The staff are very helpful and attentive. It’s a great location as you are near the park and close to good subway links. My room was clean and spacious and I really enjoy the terrace area.

This was my second time staying here. I love the vibe of the building and how the lobby and courtyard are fun places to hang out. However this time there were some area of improvement to be made, particularly given the price point of the hotel: 1. The cooling system in my room did not seem to be working, I would lower the thermostat but only heat would come out, no a/c. It was often about 10 degrees hotter in my room than where I would set the thermostat. 2. The cleanliness and maintenance of the building could be better - I dig the historic nature of the property but the peeling walls and whatnot can make the vibe veer from vintage to funky.

Sadly the rooms are in quite bad shape. Not cleaned properly at all. At least the sheets were cleaned. I sent my feedback to the hotel and have yet to hear back. This is not my first time staying here and since the first time I’ve stayed here the cleanliness has gone downhill. The staff are lovely though.
