Nothing I didn’t like

Beautifully restored to original 1930 design (just after the Roaring Twenties) although some rooms have been demoed to make others larger and more luxurious with modern features. Lobby is fabulous, but best feature is large outdoor pool and separate hot tub. I'm pretty sure this is a fresh water pool, so no stinging eyes from chlorine.

Our experience with Super 8 by Wyndham West was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. My daughter was visiting Lubbock from Hobbs, NM, and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with a staff member named Ruby. Ruby was extremely rude and unprofessional toward my daughter and refused to return the cash deposit that was provided for incidentals. Her explanation was that her manager would not be back in the office until Tuesday. My daughter had to leave Lubbock today and return to Hobbs, so this was not a reasonable solution. I am also very disappointed that Expedia listed this property as “pets stay free,” yet my daughter was charged a $20 pet deposit. If there is a pet deposit or fee, that information should be clearly disclosed when the reservation is made. To make matters worse, when we called the hotel and requested to speak with a manager regarding the situation, Ruby ultimately hung up on us while we were attempting to address our concerns. That level of customer service is completely unacceptable. I understand that issues can occasionally arise, but the way this situation was handled—from the refusal to return the incidental deposit, to the unexpected pet charge, to the rude treatment and ultimately hanging up on a customer—is not the level of professionalism I would expect from a Wyndham property. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Super 8 by Wyndham West to others. I sincerely hope management reviews this situation and addresses how customers

The poor staff needed helpers. They only had one person/shift and they were spread thin. The overall property was run down and dirty.
