Situated across the river from town, a step outside the studio offers stunning views--especially at night. Our gracious hosts were there to warmly welcome us and provide insights on local attractions. A butcher and bakery are conveniently located across the street and are well worth a visit. "Claude was the perfect host, meeting us at the apartment and helping us find our reserved parking spot. He provided us with a helpful map and answered our questions. He also had a lovely bottle of bubbly waiting for us! The apartment itself was well-appointed, spacious, and close to the historic center of Amboise. We could even see the castle from our window! We had a wonderful stay and it was a pleasure meeting Claude."

"Rien pour poser ses affaires ni penderie ni armoire. Deux tiroirs avec des miettes et objets divers c'est tout. Des casseroles inadaptées à la plaque à induction. Donc repas froids ou micro-onde. Un système de garantie qui oblige à donner un numéro de CB sur internet en dehors d'Abritel. La rue qui borde l'appartement est assez bruyante. La cuisine est loin de la salle à manger. Ça fait beaucoup de pbs !"

"This is a lovely apartment, run by Johanna who is a very lovely host, with a lovely family. We stay 2 weeks of a heat wave, and enjoyed mixing the garden and swimming pool for several days. If it were cooler, then the indoor swimming pool is also perfect, together with hot tub. The property sits in beautiful wine country, a short journey from the River Cher where bicycles and kayaks can be hired. "Loved the town of Amboise and how convenient Jacky’s apartment was to everything. Two couples shared the well equipped place with plenty of room to stretch out. Appreciated having comfy beds and bathrooms with enough towels. A few stairs to get to up to the apartment but results in a good view of the river. Being at the hub to the bridge is convenient. Luckily traffic noise wasn’t a concern. Our friends in the front bedroom would have liked opaque or blackout shades to block morning light but...

We would have been a little more reassured about the location if Google Earth hadn't shown a very cluttered area just in front filled with children's toys, a camper and other items, though! Found it a bit difficult navigating from the parking across the lowly light ground in front (uneven lawn). Otherwise, everything was just perfect. Hosts very responsive. Thank you!"
