We stayed at the English Inn for five days. Our room was very clean and inviting. The bathroom was recently renovated and the shower temperature and pressure were both good. The breakfast buffet contained many options; the food was well prepared and was perhaps the best buffet I've encountered at a budget hotel. The daily rate was much lower than I was accustomed to paying, making the place a great value. I would certainly stay there should I visit Charlottesville in the future.

Loved this sweet hotel and its friendly staff! Very walkable and we had no trouble finding a parking space nearby. Would have loved to try the Mod Pod - maybe next time.

The first room I was in was next to some sort of mechanical room or some very loud machine sound and the floor was vibrating. The staff helped me move to a quieter room, but quiet is relative. It’s old buildings

"first time at the lodge and Shenandoah and i loved it. The staff was super friendly. Our dinner was amazing. I got the pan fried trout over cheddar grits and asparagus and it was delicious, going to miss that. We did 2 of 3 trails that are around big meadow, loved the rose river falls trail!!"
