nice town, good restaurants, very quiet, no crowds

This hotel did not have an elevator. I don't remember ever staying at a hotel that does not have an elevator. Our room was on the second floor. We had a lot of luggage and dresses/ suits that needed to be carried up (and down) steps in order to get to our room on the second floor. An elevator would ...

The penthouse was beautifully appointed. It looked even better in person than in the photos. It felt like a luxury hotel in the middle of a small town. Check in was seamless. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

Cute clean town
The road construction on Hwy 11 was terrible: only one ramp to get into town, routes for detours poorly marked or not marked at all. Almost got lost.
We love Monroe. We have many family and friends that live there and visit multiple times a year for local festivities.
Blue ox restaurant was good.
