We loved sitting gazing out at the squirrels playing in the trees and were lucky enough to have them come up to the door and peer in. After leaving out almonds for them we had daily visits.Seagulls Rest was beautifully styled, it felt welcoming and cosy. Thank.you to Tina who was so helpful with our enquiries. Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. The location is brilliant, so close to St Ives and Carbis Bay, and the main bus route is right on the main road. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here. "

"The owner has personally built a superb shepherds hut escape . Hut was of the highest standard and thoroughly thought out . Shower was a delight , bed very comfortable. Kitchen well designed in a limited space . This hut has two comfortable chairs to relax in . Wood burning stove was not lite as property was so well insulated . Outside was so well designed, in the summer would be perfect . Close to A30 so some noise which for me was noticed as I live in the countryside without background...

"Splendid location of traditional seaside hotel. The full seaview we had from our double bedroom was amazing and calming and we enjoyed the mid week craft sale in the dining room. Staff were generally welcoming and helpful but there could have been a few more on duty at breakfast as noone came to offer us tea or coffee."

I would have been happy to give 5 stars but the meal at the hotel on the first night was appalling and the group did not eat there again. The cooked breakfast on the first morning was greasy and unpleasant. Subsequent mornings it was better."
