Gite in the countryside between Caen, Bayeux and the sea

9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (7)
"Paul is an excellent host and speaks good English. The Gite is a lovely little cottage suitable for a couple. It does include some steep steps that will mean it is not suitable for every one. Its location makes it a good quiet base within easy reach of all the Normandy Beaches and Monuments. Anyone arriving on a Sunday should come with a supply of food because there is nowhere open locally on Sunday afternoon."

Le Pressoir

9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (40)
"This is a gorgeous home with two self-contained guest rooms that serve as the ideal base from which to explore Beuvron-en-Auge. The room was comfortable and tasteful, with its own desperate toilet and shower room. Sylvie is a very helpful host and made a lot of effort to ensure my partner and I had all the information we needed for our visit, despite our lack of French. The breakfast provided was excellent. Croissants, bread, cheese, jam and fruit. Beuvron-en-Auge is a small, beautiful...

Domaine de la Hurel

9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (8)
"Rural location - perfect for visiting the beautiful gardens of Normandy. Not a hotel but more a farm being renovated as a super "B&B" (5 bedrooms). Francoise and Christophe are delightful hosts. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We were welcome to use the extensive gardens and swimming pool, and visit the horses down by the river and pond. Breakfast at the communal table was delicious with home made yoghurt, jams, little cakes and fresh croissants and bread. Francoise speaks English and has...
