The bed was surprisingly comfy and the pillows were not overstuffed like most hotels. The shower was very nice, though it took a bit for the hot water. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurants or pool as this was just a quick spot to spend the night during a busy weekend UP trip. Will make sure to stay here the next time I'm in the area.

The entire building was in poor repair. The lobby and room were very unappealing, cold and spartan. The towels were worn and spotted and VERY old and threadbare. Would never recommend or stay here again. In fact, this experience is making me question Expedia's ratings.

This is an okay hotel. It has a nice pool area for our kids and the beds were clean. However, the shower had pervasive black mold above the ceiling - that was the only place I noticed it but it was definitely black mold and it was definitely around the whole perimeter above the shower IN the drywall ceiling. The room floors were okay cleaned - some trash under the sofa - some hairs in the bathroom and a drain stopper in the sink that was super black and gunky with hairs hanging off. Alarming was the fact that the door "chain" did not work at all. It had clearly been knocked out and repaired with some wood inserts but it didn't actually catch so it was completely useless. Also, the nearest outside entrance to our hotel room didn't lock! There was a place to use a key for entrance but it was totally unnecessary as the door was unlocked all night. There were cigarette butts littering the ground at every exit of the hotel as well as broken glass. We used to stay here a few years ago but it has really gotten run-down recently. There was a decent breakfast and we did have a good night's sleep after the child above us stopped running back and forth and jumping off the bed over and over (so it seemed), but we would probably not stay here again.
