The log exterior of Black Bear Lodge is reminiscent of the grand old lodges of the American West, and is a favorite destination in Deer Valley Resort's Silver Lake Village. Only a short walk from the slopes, this extra large two bedroom, two and a half bathroom condo can sleep eight guests. * AND if you have a bigger group that wants to stay together, this condo can also be booked along with Black Bear #302 for a total of a spacious four bedrooms that can collectively sleep sixteen guests with loads of living space and an adjoining door. Situated in the enviable top floor corner location, Black Bear #301 boasts some of the best views in the lodge. Breathtaking vistas of Empire pass and beyond can be fully enjoyed from the private deck while soaking in your personal hot tub. In traditional mountain west style, vaulted ceilings and a large stone fireplace bring light and warmth to the spacious living area. Touches of the old west are remembered throughout in the way of decor and artifacts. Relax and sink into the big comfortable sofa and chairs and enjoy the meditative flames of the gas fireplace or a movie on the flat screen TV. The adjacent dining area can seat six with more room for three at the kitchen counter. On the other side of the dining area is another cozy conversation space where the adults of the group can enjoy a peaceful conversation and indulge in a glass of wine.
A large open kitchen is fully equipped and has room for a cook and helpers as well. You'll find all the tools you need to keep the gang well fed. Next to the kitchen, a convenient washer, dryer, and detergent can be found in the closet.
Arguably one of the most unique details of this home is the log and twig staircase and banister, a delightful entryway to the master bedroom on the top floor. This lofty cozy room with its natural wood walls and ceiling, holds a king bed and a twin bed with a trundle. A glowing gas fireplace adds to the ambiance. The outdoor pool and hot tub are open year round along with the gym for our guests' enjoyment. It's only a short two minute walk to the lifts from Black Bear Lodge and there's no need to worry about hauling skis to and from the slopes every day. Deer Valley Resort conveniently offers complimentary day and overnight storage at the Silver Lake Lodge base area.
