The amount of filth and stains on every surface was beyond gross. Stains on the sheets and towels. Dirt and bugs in the floor. Looked like a nightmare

Staff were great. Breakfast was great! Views were amazing of the lake. Kid friendly and the pool looked inviting. Down fall was paint, windex, and tub caulking would go a long way on upkeep appearance. We stayed in room 104.

On a 5 day trip to an out of town wedding, we stayed at 3 different hotel properties. Even though we thought the State Park Lodge would be our favorite, it was by far, the least. The grounds appeared to be shut down for the year. Garbage sat in bags around the guests wings. Food from the restaurant sat on outside tables ALL day. We should have known things were going to be bad when we saw two buzzards pecking at the pool cover (yes, it was already closed for the season.) We ventured onto a hiking trail (suggested by the desk staff) as our room wasn't ready and it was poorly marked, full of downed trees and not maintained. The TV in the room was missing its remote. Maybe in the summer this place is better. Avoid it in the fall and winter.
