"When my wife and I stayed it appears that they were in the process of updating and renovating this entire motel. The interior of our room had already been updated with fresh paint, new fixtures, floors, bed, bed stands, flat screen tv and a remodeled bathroom. "Gorgeous location. Excellent food. Comfy beds. Sturdy but soft pillows. Wonderful water pressure in the shower. The grounds are soooo beautiful. Like it’s been built right into the surrounding nature. Quiet. The food was delish. Bar at the Tavern is so fun. The staff are incredibly sweet. And knowledgeable about everything. Only negative: we called twice for them to come clean our room, even though we had declined room service earlier. They said we could call if we wanted it at any time. But no one ever showed. "
