Car Rental Dongdan

Dongdan is full of surprises, but don't limit yourself to just one place. Grab a set of wheels and hit the open road to explore the surrounding region. Here are some great options we've come up with:

• Make your way to Chengde for a fantastic sightseeing adventure. Roughly 120 miles from Dongdan, it's home to many great sights like Bishu Shanzhuang.
• Next stop? It has to be Fangshan, which is around 35 miles away. Peking Man at Zhoukoudian is one local highlight you won't want to miss.
• Get into the great outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Beidaihe Beach. It's approximately 170 miles from Dongdan.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in China, then it's likely you'll need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. Please also consider that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your current license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some other things to note to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to what kinds of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before you drive away. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or off road with a rental vehicle.
