Obarrio has plenty to keep you busy, but don't restrict yourself to only one place. Organize a set of wheels and hit the road to discover what else awaits in the surrounding region. Here are a few places to choose from:

• Head off to Colon for a fun-filled sightseeing adventure. Roughly 35 miles from Obarrio, it has tons of cool attractions such as Gatun Locks.
• Next stop? Make it Santiago, which is around 120 miles away. Escuela Normal Juan Demostenes Arosemena is one local hot spot you won't want to miss.
• Get out into nature and breathe in some fresh air at Starfish Beach. It's approximately 190 miles from Obarrio.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Panama, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. You should also be aware that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well.
