“We absolutely loved our stay here. We definitely want to come back. We had just gotten married the week before and we’re looking for some peace and quiet and this was perfect. I love all of the character this place has. It was so comfortable and cozy!”

“We were so amazed at the cleanliness of the cabin and the beautiful location on Chemo Pond. The cabin was well stocked with linens and paper products. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. We were close to both Bar Harbor and Bangor and spent a few days sightseeing. We bought live lobsters in Bangor and caught some fish in the pond so we made a seafood feast at the cabin. One day we just sat at the side of the pond, dipped our feet in the water, and enjoyed the scenery for……

“This is a cabin on a lake. It's simple. No tv, microwave, washer/dryer or dishwasher. It has 2 bedrooms and a large living area. It was super clean. Basic cooking needs. Sometimes you need to be creative. The outdoor grill worked great. Best of all is the lake! Crisp clean water! Lots of fish caught off the dock. Definitely recommend!!”

“Hidden gem, secluded in the woods with short walk to the lake. Kids enjoyed fishing and kayaking.Less than an hour’s drive to Acadia.”

“Had a great time at the Cabin .The views of the lake were amazing. Had a good time fishing off the dock , plus had some fishing poles and kayaks on site. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, slept great and enjoyed the hot tub. Fire pit was nice but Maine has some big ol mosquitoes . One of our favorite memories was seeing a small black bear cross the road on the way back from town one evening. Zack was always available to answer question and checked in with us to see how it was……

We especially appreciated having a washer & dryer -- no trips to a laundromat! We swam & canoed and every question for the owner was answered promptly.”

I will say, the showers are a bit strange with the controls outside the shower itself, also no barrier to keep water in the shower. “First, when we visited, there was a new set of stairs down to the water that were excellent. Second, the water pressure in the shower was amazing.The cabin is plain, but very functional. The location is quiet, very quiet. There are cars going by on the road but very few. There are boaters on the lake, but only a couple at a time. One night the loons were out and it was very nice. If you take the stairs down to the bottom and the weather is clear, you can see Katahdin.I would stay there again.”

“A GREAT place !!!! GREAT LOCATION!!! Lots to do at the lake (swim, kayak, fish, tan) and in town (Loon Fest, Wing Wah). My family and I enjoyed it immensely. Enough room to stretch out, great wrap-around porch for a peaceful AM cup of coffee. Minor suggestions: have screens in all windows (to include upstairs) for all around cooling, and have brighter light bulbs in the living and dining areas.”

"The hotel is located inside the University of Maine campus, which is quiet, safe, and has convenient parking. The rooms seem to be converted from student dormitories, so the layout is different from typical hotels. The bathroom in my room was exceptionally large, almost at a luxury mansion level, and the bed was also big. The room was clean with high ceilings, but there was no desk available for use, which was somewhat inconvenient."
