“Really fun house to stay in. My wife, adult kids, and I enjoyed all the amenities and especially liked the outdoor areas with various places to hang out. The hosts obviously took meticulous care to craft such interesting areas in and around the house. The basement and arcade room were a blast too except my daughter destroyed me repeatedly in the Marvel game and Dig Dug LOL. I got her in Galaga though. Easy to hang out at the house and be tempted to not go anywhere else.”

“We had a very disappointing experience with this VRBO rental. Before our stay, we unfortunately had a death of a horse and needed to cancel. The host declined our request and only offered a 50% refund, which put us in a difficult position. Since we couldn’t recover most of our money, we decided to go ahead with the trip anyway. Upon arrival, the cleanliness of the home was far below expectations. There were dishes in the drying rack on the counter. Newspapers all over the counter. Dirty sponge……

I would absolutely recommend booking this if you are anywhere in the area. We especially appreciated the thoughtful preservation of this historic building while still offering all the modern amenities. The beds were exceptionally comfortable as well. They had plenty of entertainment at the house while I was out at work and also downtown Huntley was just a quarter block away so they were able to enjoy a safe, clean and well kept Historic city.
